Education Opportunities – and Valuable Member Benefits
One of the ways the HVDMA fulfills our mission to educate the field is through our affiliation with the Direct and Interactive Marketing program at
This professionally accredited program develops future business leaders by preparing them for management roles in Direct and Interactive Marketing for business-to-business, business-to-consumer and not-for profit companies.
The HVDMA provides annual scholarships to students in the Pace Direct Marketing program. In return, our members receive these valuable benefits:
1. Interns and Qualified Personnel
Member organizations can tap into the Pace program as a source of interns or part-time staff for short-term assignments. Many of the Direct Marketing students already have business experience. They are solid, responsible individuals who have been pre-screened for excellence and are committed to success. Students may work at client premises or within Pace’s Direct and Interactive Marketing Lab.
2. Research Resources
Pace students are available to help you design and conduct research projects. For example, if you are looking to survey a particular target group, a Direct Marketing student or team of students can help you structure and implement the survey, and effectively analyze the results. Because your study is conducted as a student internship project, your company obtains valuable information, while your project helps the student gain professional experience.
3. Courses
As a special benefit, HVDMA members can take courses within the Pace Direct & Interactive Marketing program, without having to be matriculated. Pace University alumni can audit any graduate course for only $150. Pace alumni can also audit any undergraduate class for $150. Non-Pace alumni members may not audit any graduate course but may audit any undergraduate course. The cost is the per-credit cost plus a small registration fee. As an added benefit, the application fee has also been waived for HVDMA members.
Courses are available on campuses in Pleasantville,
4. Pace University Marketing Faculty
Pace University professors are available to consult with you to meet your business challenges. Our faculty members are also available as speakers or facilitators for educational events at your company.
