Three veteran marketing prod moderated tables on the following subjects: Paul Miller, American Catalog Marketing Association, spoke on Issues that Impact Catalog Merchants' Bottom Lines. Heather Murphy, Belardi Wong, spoke on Pinterest: Facts About its Success; Why it's Different Than Other Social Media Sites; Best practices and Case Studies. Andrew Kirshenbaum, PubWorx, spoke on Overcoming Traditional Print Business Challenges. The Industry is facing a serious decline in print publications, and digital revenue has not yet offset it. Andrew advised challenging existing rules for name selection in DM campaigns. Different models are needed for digital vs. print. Online behavior is negative for offline models, and vice versa. Credit card auto renewal yields much better cancel rates, and can absorb higher prices.
