Additionally, the retirement of NDC discounts and entry will reshape the current landscape.
The Bulk Mail Center (BMC) network, established 54 years ago following the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970, has long been a cornerstone of the postal system. Since the early 1990s, mailers have been dropshipping into these centers, now known as Network Distribution Centers (NDCs). This July will mark the end of an era as these changes come to fruition.

2022 and 2023 have seen major changes in privacy law, substantially increasing the responsibilities – and visibility – of data companies’ data collection practices and use cases. Not only do consumers have expanded rights in several states, but regulators and class action plaintiffs have increasingly set their sights on scrutinizing data sales and imposing new standards of transparency based on recent (and some older) statutes. Ken Dreifach and Hannah Schaller, of the boutique privacy and data law firm ZwillGen, will walk us through these new laws, and provide an update on the legal risks and responsibilities they impose, along with other litigation and regulatory trends in the data space. Ken is a former privacy regulator and General Counsel of LiveRamp, and he and Hannah counsel numerous data companies regarding regulatory compliance.

As you have read in the news, it's been never a dull moment for the Postal Service over the past year. During the lockdown, mail volumes plunged, package deliveries skyrocketed, and election ballots...well, who knows? With a new postmaster general in place, Trump backer Louis DeJoy proceeded to carve out an unpopular 10-year plan for the Postal Service with no input from the mailing community. Then given the opportunity by its regulator, the USPS announced a significant postal rate increase to take effect just prior to this fall's peak mailing season. The ACMA's Hamilton Davison and The Vogel Group's Alex Vogel will provide the many "behind the scenes" backgrounds that have led us to where we are now, what the options and alternatives are, and insights into what kind of future we may have in the mail.
